New Hartford AYSO Region 222

A wealth of information regarding AYSO and its philosophies can be found at  This FAQ focuses on issues specific to New Hartford AYSO.
How can I find out about registration?
There are several ways. Registration is advertised on this website, in school flyer, on signs periodicallylocated in the Town Square and Municipal Building, and posters at various town locations.
When does registration occur?
We prefer online registration which is available for at least one month prior to the in-person registration. This can be done via the Online Registration link on this site. We can register those in person who cannot register online either at the school during registration night or through the registrar or commissioner.
Can I request my child is placed with a certain coach or friend?
The NHAYSO Board will take and honor requests if possible and not contrary to the goals of NHAYSO
Can I register in New Hartford if I live in another town?
New players are welcome to register in whatever Region they choose. However, if you have registered with another region for the prior fall season, you must continue with that region for the spring, or initiate a transfer request through your current Region. For example, a player who was registered for Clinton in Fall08 must request the transfer to New Hartford for Spring 2009 with the Clinton Board first.  The same applies for a player who played New Hartford in the fall and wishes to transfer to another region for the spring. Please be advised inter-regional transfers between the fall and spring seasons are rarely allowed. Generally speaking, Fall registrants should expect to play the same region in the Spring.
May my child play up to a higher division?
Yes, under certain circumstances. Please see the separate PLAY UP POLICY
May my child play down?
No, but rare exceptions have been made. Contact the NHAYSO Board for more information.
What happens if we register late?
Late registrants are automatically placed on a wait list.  Wait lists are difficult to predict. On time registration is key to ensuring your child is placed.
Are there programs for children with special needs?
Some local AYSO Regions host a VIP program. New Hartford does not.  Contact NHAYSO for details.
How can I help?
Glad you asked! All Board Members, Coaches and Referees are volunteers. Even if you have no knowledge of soccer, there are a number of ‘behind the scenes’ places we need help. Please contact the NHAYSO Board for more information.
